My Story
I'm a songwriter and guitarist who has always been drawn to anything with strings and a story. Somehow, my songs have found their way into the Intercontinental Music Awards, Global Music Awards, Independent Music Awards, and the W.A.M. Awards. Every time it happens, I am still a little stunned, wondering how something that started in a quiet room found its way out into the world.
I studied classical guitar at the New England Conservatory of Music and since then, I have had the joy of performing with the Austin Classical Guitar Ensemble, the Happy Valley Orchestra, the Providence Mandolin Ensemble, and indie groups like Celticity, The BeeKeepers, and Sylvie & Mandy. New England’s folk festivals and small, intimate venues became the backdrop of my early musical life.
My early songs lived mostly in the spaces of love and loss, echoes of the things we carry and those we choose to let go. Lately, my writing has shifted toward light and purpose. I am now creating songs for the people I love most and for the causes I am passionate about, especially animal rights, which continues to shape my music and purpose.
When I am not making music, I am usually speaking up for farmed animals or working at Artists & Activists Records, my small but big-hearted label devoted to compassion, community, and the belief that music can make the world a little kinder.
